WordPress Headspace2 plugin vs Platinum SEO vs All-in-one
Basically Platinum SEO is a combination of the famous All in one SEO pack and Headspace2. I think the author of the platinum seo just modeled a lot of the code after these two plugins. Even the set up looks similar under the setting section.
Is this bad? Not entirely. In fact, WordPress is mostly open to redesign and development by the community, that is that makes it so good, but people should give credit if credit is due.
This plugin is mostly the All-in-one SEO pack with ideas from headspace2.
Will headspace2 or All in one be bad if I use it? No, they cover most of what you need for on-site factors, I like all-in-one over headspace2.
Platinum SEO pack is my new All-in-one for wordpress
For most of my sites, I am using the platinum SEO pack now as my main plug in on WordPress for on-site factors, even over all-in-one. I personally modify my own templates so in reality most of the work for on-site factors is done but I use a few plugins anyway.
So if you want to keep your Search engine optimization simple for wordpress, try the WordPress Platinum SEO plugin.

I would like to recommend the Platinum SEO Pack, it has more useful options than the all in one seo pack. There are more nofollow selections, additional post, page and home headers, you can nofollow all of the outgoing links on just the front page, you can add the noydir meta tag, the noodp meta tag, you can use the option for noindex on sub pages and my favorite option of all is all of the options that it gives you on each individual post and page of your wordpress blog.
Those are just a few of the things that I can think of off the top of my head. The fact of the matter is that I have used both and have found that I am in greater control of my websites on-page seo than when I was using the All in One SEO Pack.
I am now becoming a plugin minimalist, less is often more. I use to have 20 or more WordPress plugins on my blogs but now only a hand full. The center for any site should be Platinum SEO pack ( this consolidates All in one SEO and headspace) as it does everything you need and a related post plugin. There is still a lot of room for SEO in WordPress just focusing on other things, such as content.
Hi, I have tried All-In-One SEO Pack initially, then I switched over to Platinum SEO Pack, I realized some advantage over there. Due to some other recommendations, I changed to All-In-One SEO Pack, and I am quite sure All-In-One SEO Pack is not as effective compared with Platinum SEO Pack. After reading your post, I am quite sure to use Platinum SEO Pack again.
It is one of the few plugins I use. I am a minimalist when it comes to plugins. WordPress is really fast with development and progressive with SEO, so except for a few addons it is ready right out of the box.
Hi Mark,
We played a hand in the development of Headspace, have used All-in-One and finally decided to build our own SEO plugin which is called fv-all-in-one-seo-pack (it was called FV Simpler SEO but SemperFi working hard getting competing plugins deleted from the database and that plugin was frozen).
Anyway, the reason we built our own version is to make it more client friendly (ours looks better) and to make it safe to install on out of the box WordPress without configuring. We also make the options which shouldn’t be touched by new site owners, like no follow and no index, advanced options.
You might like it for your client work as you can install it and forget it. It will do most of the right things out of the box (home page title, home page description in general options; custom title and custom meta description when filled in on each post) but otherwise it doesn’t leave any branding or any trace in your pages. Unlike All in One and Platinum which are plastered with advertising in the source code.
Have a look when you get a chance. FV All in One is ideal for new users and for WordPress consultant. If you have any suggestions for improvements, just let us know!
I have seen the FV All in one SEO pack, I will have to try it out and let you know if I have any suggestions regarding search engine optimization and this plugin. I am a big fan of out of the box optimization so blog owners can focus on content rather than tweaking every aspect of their onside optimization.
Guess what I am a new user, to everything, so I think I will take your advice. Try each one. Thanks
Another key point SEO people might disagree with me on this one is, WordPress is getting better and better with SEO and WordPress 3 will be a quantum leap in terms of functionality. Therefore, try the plugin that you feel comfortible using because it is easy to use. Since WordPress is SEOed pretty well out of the box the marginal difference you might get from one compared to another will not make or break your blog, rather more important is the quality of the content you write and your ability to attract readers that come back.
Hi there,
I found another plugins commented in varios forum. Aparently, has a lot of custom option including the major plugins known. Did you hear about it.
High Performance SEO Plugin: Definitive WordPress SEO from Greg Mulhauser.
Interesting plug-in for SEO I will have to check it out. I am trying now to reduce my plug-ins and finding the best one for SEO is important. Right now if I use anything I use Platinum SEO, but will consider this one once use it a little.
You have right at this point, my first blog run with more that 45 plugins. Do will exist one that cover all our wishes?
)
Really I’m looking for simplify this…
I recommend for SEO:
Platinum SEO plugin
Related Posts plugin
Sitemap plugin
Platinum takes care of on site factors pretty well and sitemap and related posts help with indexing and navigation.
After that write good content. The problem is people spend a year and a day checking Stats and meditating on on-site SEO issues, when they are not that important once you have the above three plug-ins. It takes too much time from writing content.
Like read in this post. I’m testing from now Platinum Seo. for related post, I use Simple tags. It has more function including an improvement for tag management. And like SiteMap, I use XML Sitemap Generator.
I was using simple tags, I like it. I use a modified related post plug-in for SEO. But simple tags work sell.
is this related post plugin avaliable on wordpress repository plugin page? Wich’s his name?
I use a plug-in that Related Posts by Alexander Malov & Mike Lu. I am not sure if this even exists any more. The plug-in code was updated for SEO by a friend of mine. There are scores of good SEO related post plugins, I was even using simple tags for a while. The main thing is does it look nice for the user. The one I use looks pretty good as it give a little lead in to the story.
