How do you build traffic on your WordPress site or blog? What is the secrete? What do people do to build lots of traffic? It is easy. You need to write everyday for about 2 hours a day for many months. Some people write eight hours a day. If you did this, there would be little need to do anything else.

Your blog should be useful to the reader

Your writing has to be focused and targeted and natural all at the same time. Do not write about ‘Medieval door hinges’ if no one is searching for it. It might be interesting for you, but how many other people. Write about topics that are interesting for people, just not for you.

Your blog should be about your passion

However, the worst thing you ca do is build a blog for of topics geared for marketing and attracting people. I think this is the biggest mistake of new bloggers who are looking for ways how to build traffic their blog.

You should find a balance between your passions and things people are looking for. I very quickly go off sites that are geared towards marketing content, or these short air filled articles about nothing.
Try to write articles over 1000 words in legnth that say something of real deth and meatning.

No one likes the feeling after eating junk food and no one likes the feeling after reading junky posts.

How to build traffic on your blog?

Forget social media (WordPress will ping it for you and if people like it they will social media it), forget tricks and gimmicks, simply write for 2 hours a day about something you are interested in but also people are searching for.  That is it.  Stop wasting time trying to get the edge, and get the edge with content for your blog that you personally created from your own heart and intelligence.
